"And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple." --Luke 14:27 This last Saturday I was on Montague Avenue in North Charleston heading to the Panera Bread. For the second time this year, I drove past a man walking down the sidewalk with a cross over his shoulder. I wasn't in a hurry so I turned around to get some pictures. 2010 SC UMC Annual Conference

I attended Annual Conference again this year. This time I was less of a spectator. I was there to represent Higher Education and Campus Ministry. I did not realize how busy the campus ministers were at conference. Most of their time was spent training the Students in Mission (SIM) workers. While SIM training was taking place, I got to babysit the HECM table and bond with the representatives of the United Methodist colleges and universities in SC. I also ate a lot of cookies.
