I have many wonderful memories of Asbury Hills United Methodist Camp. I went for retreats there as a teenager. For two summers during college I worked there as a counselor and later a ropes and trips coordinator. After college, I have occasionally returned for mission work of a non-standard variety. I’ve installed software, fixed computers, run Ethernet cable, set up servers and even created a wireless internet bubble between three camp buildings.
Through the time I’ve spent there, I’ve met many wonderful people and grown as a person. I’ve also found several imaginative uses for duct tape. My last trip was on October 23rd for the Apple Butter Festival. It was a wonderful event. There was archery, hay rides, zip line tours, canoeing, a Bluegrass band, and apple butter. To make it even better, the leaves were beginning to turn colors, and it was a lovely day.
I’ve attached a few pictures from the gallery showing what a wonderful time I and so many other people had. I believe I’ll be going back next year. I hope you can join me. You can see the entire gallery at the link at the bottom.
