I attended Annual Conference again this year.\u00a0 This time I was less of a spectator.\u00a0 I was there to represent Higher Education and Campus Ministry.\u00a0 I did not realize how busy the campus ministers were at conference.\u00a0 Most of their time was spent training the Students in Mission (SIM) workers.\u00a0 While SIM training was taking place, I got to babysit the HECM table and bond with the representatives of the United Methodist colleges and universities in SC.\u00a0 I also ate a lot of cookies.\u00a0 That was the more tame attraction for HECM at conference.\u00a0 Presidents and Vice-Presidents of schools would come out and answer questions while giving out cookies.\u00a0 The other attraction was a t-shirt giveaway.\u00a0 Thanks to Wofford, we even had a t-shirt launcher for a day.\u00a0 I even have pictures of Bishop Taylor launching t-shirts into the crowd!\u00a0 I think a whole lot of people left conference knowing a lot more about HECM this year.<\/p>\n
