On March 3rd I attended the 1st anniversary celebration of the Sumpter Free Health Clinic. The people and churches of upper Berkeley County worked together to meet a priority need in their community: health care for those without insurance. They currently have over 500 patients and a staff of two doctors, 40 nurses and over 100 volunteers. These are a people who are radically living out their faith by their engagement in their community. I was blessed to partake in a meal with them and celebrate the good work God is doing in their community.
